Payroll & Human Resources Technician Montréal, Canada
The candidate will provide complete payroll services. The applicant will also be in charge of processing employee-centered documents, administration of corporate benefits and other administrative or clerical tasks related to Human Resources. The chosen candidate will also support the team of recruiting officers with recruitment files, including new employee integration.
Tasks and responsibilities - PAYROLL
- Prepare, administer and verify employee payroll (350 employees)
- Calculate contributions to the CSST
- Record and register overtime hours for employees on an hourly wage
- Maintain a record of employee absenteeism and vacation periods as per electronic timesheets
- Prepare Records of Employment
- Prepare diverse productivity reports
HR ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES (employees, group insurance, group RRSP, CSST, recruitment) - Create and maintain employee files in the HR Data Base
- Maintain group insurance and group RRSP Programs
- Ensure proper processing of documents related to work-related injury or employee illness
- Manage and update communications & forms on the HR portion of the intranet
- Support the recruiting officer with employee recruitment (communication channels, CV selection, calls to candidates)
- File payroll and HR documents in employees’ files
- Other HR tasks, based on your availability
Professional and Personal Qualifications - Autonomous, versatile and dynamic
- Socialable with high discretion and detail-oriented
- Bilingual
Academic Requirements and Technical Knowledge - College Diploma in Management of Human Resources or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of the payroll-specific tasks (EA, RRQ, Income Tax, Records of Employment, Fiscal year-end, management of PAT Leave)
- Knowledge of Ceridian Systems considered an asset
