Engineering ManagerGrass Valley, California, USAProvide team leadership in the design and development the router product line within Miranda Technologies. Provide technical and interpersonal leadership to the team and within the Grass Valley Division Engineering function. Tasks and Responsibilities -Lead team of design engineers in the design of new products -Spearhead design changes and enhancement projects on existing products -Responsible for leading team that designs and develops technical solutions that satisfy business requirements for function, performance, and maintainability -Lead team that must perform all phases of the product life cycle including systems analysis, design, development, test, maintenance and customer support -Develop, implement and manage concurrent hardware project plans -Work with stakeholders inside Grass Valley Engineering, Montreal Canada, and outside Miranda to effectively deliver prototypes and material to meet project schedules -On behalf of team, work with Product Marketing and Manufacturing management to establish schedules, negotiate support and meet product development plans Personal Qualifications -Proven ability to lead a team of 6-10 engineers and CAD design employees -Excellent written and oral communication skills. -Ability to represent team issues and solutions with upper management and negotiate solutions that best meet customer, stakeholder, and team needs Academic Requirements -Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Technical Knowledge -Fully functional knowledge of real-time video/audio concepts and techniques as the apply to base band and compressed video processing equipment used in TV broadcast market place -Experience trouble-shooting problems through NPI process and leading teams through problem identification and solution management processes -The Ideal candidate may also have experience with: -Verilog based synchronous state machine design and simulation. -Programmable Logic including CPLDs and FPGAs. -Analog circuit design. -High speed and RF circuit design. -Real-time embedded micro-controller based systems Professional Experience -5-7 years engineering management experience, or equivalent -Demonstrated skills in setting and achieving project schedules and deadlines -Ability to set, write and negotiate detailed technical specifications with stakeholders -Ability to comfortably lead team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment -Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously while maintaining a team and people focus Interested parties please send resumes to : resumesMirandaGVD@miranda.com | |
