MPEG - R&D Product & Tests SpecialistMontreal, CanadaThe primary function of the R&D Product & Tests Specialist is to conduct tests (manual and automatic) which will serve for the evaluation of video, audio and software products in the R&D Alpha, Beta and RC mode. Tasks and responsibilities -Design test plans for complete and partial product evaluations -Design automated testing procedure for complete and partial product evaluations -Validate and implement the automated testing procedure -Conduct laboratory testing for video, audio and software products -Support system integration and sales for those products integration -Support R&D for new products definition -Insure that the testing process will adapt to the overall problems reported by clients -Help in the definition of products internal tests (diagnostics) Personal qualifications -Excellent Interpersonal skills -Excellent communication skills, especially listening skills -Bilingual Academic requirements -Electrical technician or Software Designer Technical knowledge -Intermediate to advance knowledge of Windows XP -Knowledge of Mac and Linux operating systems is an asset -Have an understanding of IP networking -Programming Java, JavaScript, C++, HTML -Knowledge of MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 compression norms and standards -Knowledge & capacity to evaluate video/audio ATSC reception -Knowledge & capacity to evaluate video/audio transmission and reception over IP and DVB transports -Knowledge and capacity to measure analog and digital video standards is an asset -Knowledge and capacity to measure analog and digital audio standards is an asset -Television stations systems understanding (Production and Distribution) is an asset Professional Experience -Minimun 5 years of experience | |
